Multi-million-pound aquariums might be the latest status symbol but would you want one in YOUR living room?

David Saxby's living room is dominated by an enormous, brightly lit fish tank.

It's 10ft long, 6ft wide and 4ft high, stretches in an L-shape round the corner and into the hallway, holding 1,200 gallons of water - and is ever so slightly smelly.

It is home to more than 400 exotic-looking fish, dozens of beautiful corals, a huge, pink anemone, waving its fronds in the current (yes, there's a current), goodness knows how many clams, shrimp, starfish and the remains of a large Romaine lettuce, which is bobbing about on a bit of string in the corner.

The only thing that seems to be missing is one of those nice cobbled bridges for the fish to swim under or perhaps a plastic shipwreck.

'This tank is known all over the world,' says David proudly. 'It's the most watched salt-water tank on YouTube.'
